Welcome to Phinda Forest Lodge - nestled inside 1,000 hectares (2,471 acres) of Africa’s last
remaining dry sand forest lies Phinda Forest Lodge, one of the world’s first eco-designed luxury
safari lodges. With its seven distinct habitats, Phinda Private Game Reserve is often described
as ‘Seven Worlds of Wonder’, a magnificent tapestry of woodland, grassland, wetland and
forest, interspersed with mountain ranges, rivers, marshes and pans. Showcasing one of the
continent’s finest game viewing experiences, the reserve is home to Africa’s Big Five, as well as
436 bird species.

● All rates are inclusive of VAT and in South African Rand.
● Accommodation rates are per person per night sharing, except for family suites, family
cottages, villas and the treehouse which are per family suite/ family cottage/ villa per
night/ treehouse per night and exclude any park, conservancy, entrance, gate, and
landing fees.
● Park and Conservancy Fees are subject to change. Fees need to be prepaid to
&BEYOND and cannot be paid on arrival
● Long-Stay Rates: May be applied for a combination of &Beyond lodges in Africa (subject
to seasonal availability of the offer), for the same guests on a single itinerary. Nights
spent at lodges without applicable long-stay rates count towards the long-stay rate at
lodges where they are applicable. These cannot be used in conjunction with any other
&Beyond offers, including Signature offers.
● Single Supplement: 11 Jan - 30 Apr and 1 Nov - 20 Dec: A single supplement of 50% is
only charged from the third single room per booking. 1 May - 31 Oct and 21 Dec - 10
Jan: A single supplement of 50% applies to all single rooms. A single supplement will be
charged when an adult is sharing with an infant.
● Triple rooms are suitable for a maximum of two adults sharing with one child 16 years or
younger.
● Pilots and Local Driver-Guides: Rate only includes accommodation, meals, teas and
coffees. Accommodation in a pilot/guide room is on a twin basis; single rooms will be
allocated depending on availability.
● Tour Leaders, Private Guides: Normal guest inclusions and exclusions apply. A
maximum of 1 Tourleader on a discounted rate per 14 guests.
● Private Vehicles: Private 4x4 safari vehicles can be pre-booked, subject to availability.
Rates are per vehicle per night, from 2pm on day of arrival to 11am on day of departure.
Please see applicable notes under our Child Policy for children joining on a private
vehicle.
● Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Please be advised that the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
(Drones) is not allowed in any of the conservation areas we manage, until such time as
their impact on wildlife and anti-poaching initiatives can be assessed. This rule will apply
throughout Africa, as our partners in various countries and regions have adopted a
similar stance.
● If paying for a Private Vehicle, children of any age may go on game drive, with access to
sightings being at the discretion of the guide, based on the behaviour of both child and
animals. Greater distances to animals may be adhered to, or certain sightings may be
avoided, in order to ensure the safety of all.

Bedrooms
Each of the 16 suites at &Beyond Phinda Forest Lodge is built on stilts and seems to float between the forest floor and the tall torchwood trees in the intensively wooded rare sand forest. Each handcrafted, glass-enclosed suite has been designed in a style affectionately known as Zulu Zen, built without damaging or removing a single tree in the forest. Interiors have a minimalist flair that includes high-gloss hardwood floors, plentiful tactile fabrics, and brightly accented Zulu artifacts. Suites have luxurious bathrooms with slate sinks and viewing decks where guests can enjoy the sight of graceful nyala and duiker in the dappled shade of the forest.

Anreise
Phinda Private Game Reserve is situated in the lush Zululand region of Northern KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, intimately wedged between Mkuze Game Reserve and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (previously St Lucia Wetland Park), a World Heritage Site. The reserve is also situated in very close proximity to the unspoiled beaches and spectacular coral reefs of the Indian Ocean, offering an unmatched combination of bush and beach adventures at nearby Sodwana Bay.

- Federal Air offer daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg to Phinda Private Game Reserve.
- Connect Phinda Private Game Reserve to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Ngala Private Game Reserve, Kirkman’s Kamp, northern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Londolozi, Ulusaba, Vilanculos and Livingstone.
- All flights route through either Nelspruit or Skukuza
